Purpose

  • Assists Regional Sales Team in getting prospective clients sanctioned and funded.
  • Develops effective working relations with each Business Development Officer to ensure that leads generated are followed up on accordingly. Promotes the BFS name and brand locally.
  • Represents the interests of the Company internally and externally. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. 
  • Ability to work as part of a team in an office environment and to act independently when required.
  • Computer literate with excellent keyboarding skills and competency with Microsoft Office. 
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Strong customer service.  

 

Job Description

  • Reviews and organizes new application packages.
  • Pulls credit bureau reports from credit databases and makes recommendations on credit limits for prospects.
  • Search public databases for proper entity names, assumed names, encumbrances, judgements, etc.
  • Analyzes financial applications, flags and seeks out missing information.
  • Monitors progression of prospect file through required underwriting stages.  Ensures all required information is received and questions answered.  Visits prospects with BDO.
  • Revisits past inquiries.
  • Builds own pipeline of future leads.
  • Maintains accurate CRM records.
  • Attends networking events and trade shows on a regular basis.
  • Generates new and follows up with existing introducers.
  • Cold Calls when applicable to develop new business and introducers.
  • Participates in regular meetings with Sales Team and is aware of Sales Team’s activities and movement on a weekly basis.
  • Works with Sales Team to research markets, develop exhibition marketing, create plans for mailing programs, and work with Operations Team to promote client-generated leads.
  • Conducts analysis to support Marketing solutions and campaigns, planning, campaign strategy, customer segmentation and targeting, and/or measurement of Marketing programs.
  • Coordinates marketing efforts with Sales Team and develops synergies with larger Company plan.
  • Maintains and upholds the highest standards of service.
  • Provides ad hoc support to the local office as/when required.
  • Performs other related duties and tasks as necessary or as assigned.
