Bibby Financial Services boosts Construction Finance team
Alex Rowe, experienced business development manager re-joins funder’s specialist construction team
Specialist funder, Bibby Financial Services (BFS), has added to its growing construction finance team with the appointment of Alex Rowe as Business Development Manager.
Rowe, initially joined BFS in 2008 as part of the funder’s graduate scheme following completion of a business and law degree at the University of Warwick. After a time working in the funder’s trade and construction finance teams, Rowe joined corporate recovery specialists, Leonard Curtis Business Solutions Group.
Commenting on his decision to re-join the business, Rowe said: “I’m delighted to be back at Bibby Financial Services as part of the growing construction team.
“Construction businesses have been at the heart of the economic recovery we have seen throughout 2013 so it is an exciting time to support growth further through our specialist construction capabilities.”
Rowe – who was awarded diploma student of the year by the Asset Based Finance Association in 2012 - is responsible for growing funding for construction businesses in the west midlands, Wales, Bristol and the south west.

Bibby Financial Services’ construction finance team was formed in 2004 in response to rising demand for specialist finance in the sector. Since this time, the team has worked with thousands of specialist sub-contractors, supporting businesses and helping them to grow.
Winterton added: “We have now been funding construction businesses for a decade, demonstrating our commitment to these types of businesses.
“We are growing our team to add to the vast wealth of knowledge and experience we already offer, and this will undoubtedly enable us to continue to provide vital support to SMEs in this important sector.”
Bibby Financial Services’ quarterly SME report, the Business Factors Index highlights steady performance across SMEs in the construction sector in the final three months of 2013. The full report is due for release at the end of February.
